I have an 8 and 9 year old and they are both big fans of the Buddies movies. What are Buddies movies you may be asking yourself, they are a series of movies with adorable golden retriever puppies that get into all kinds of hijinks. So when they found out we were going to see Russell Madness, from the creators of the Buddies movies, they were quite excited. Going to the movies with them now is a whole new experience; they have actual opinions about what they watch. And boy did they have something to say. They loved that the Farraros felt like a real family and that the animals, Russell the dog, and Hunk the monkey trainer, had a connection. Hunk made them giggle throughout the whole film. They were also overwhelmed by the cuteness of the animals.
I loved the heart warming story of how family is always more important than the material things. All in all this movie got a resounding 5 out of 5 stars from the whole family. The best thing is you don’t have to wait to see it in the theaters, you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. And remember, “The strongest tag team is family”.
